Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

Project Context

Mindrift connects specialists with technology projects to advance AI development. This role involves applying technical precision to data scraping tasks, utilizing tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies, alongside individual technical expertise and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end data extraction workflows for complex websites, ensuring comprehensive coverage, accuracy, and reliable delivery of structured datasets.
• Utilize available tools and custom workflows to expedite data collection, validation, and task execution while adhering to defined requirements.
• Ensure reliable extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, adapting approaches to handle JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.
• Enforce data quality standards through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, adherence to formatting specifications, and systematic verification before delivery.
• Scale scraping operations for large datasets using efficient batching or parallelization, monitor failures, and maintain stability against minor site structure changes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Strong technical foundation and practical experience with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.
