About the Role

HILL INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Abha. This full-time role requires a professional with extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure and city development projects, particularly within water and wastewater works. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project functions, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and coordinating various teams to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
  • Coordinate with design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure projects comply with quality standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project functions, including Project Management, Site Management, Project Control Management, Engineering Management, Procurement, and Construction Management, ensuring coordination and proper staffing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained across all projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project groups on major regional projects as needed.
  • Liaise with regional and site management regarding project status, significant trends, and changes.
  • Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedules.
  • Prepare engineering budgets, project schedules, and project control budgets.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with construction and contractor management teams.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with other departments.
  • Monitor construction progress and provide technical assistance.
  • Offer technical advice and support to other departments.
  • Adhere to Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or city development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in major government and/or semi-government program and project implementations.
  • Extensive experience in the project management of water and wastewater works.
  • Proficiency in professional project management processes and procedures.
  • Experience in implementing a zero-accident philosophy.
  • A proven record of engagement with government entities and utility providers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in international environments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Abha, requiring active coordination across various project teams and external stakeholders. The role demands a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and project control.
