Project Engineer

About the Role

Hill International (KSA) is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Al Qassim, Qassim Province. This full-time role involves developing detailed project plans, providing technical support, and coordinating various teams to ensure project goals are met. The Project Engineer will also monitor project functions, ensure adherence to quality standards, and maintain accurate documentation for large-scale infrastructure and city development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance teams to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure projects comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and problems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project functions such as Project Management, Site Management, Project Control Management, and Engineering Management to ensure coordination and proper staffing.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained across all projects.
• Coordinate and communicate with project groups on major regional projects as needed.
• Liaise with regional and site management regarding project status, significant trends, and approved project changes.
• Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedules.
• Prepare engineering budgets, project schedules, and project control budgets.
• Maintain ongoing communication with construction and contractor management teams.
• Coordinate engineering activities with other departments.
• Monitor construction progress and provide necessary technical assistance.
• Provide technical advice and support to other departments.
• Adhere to Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or city development projects.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing major government and/or semi-government programs and projects.
• Extensive experience in the project management of water and wastewater works.
• Knowledge of professional project management processes and procedures.
• Experience in implementing a zero-accident philosophy.
• A proven record of engagement with government entities and utility providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working internationally.
