Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead its accounting team. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, and is central to the company's financial operations.

The Role of Chief Accountant

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role supports strategic decision-making through strong leadership, analytical abilities, and expertise in accounting standards and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure their accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to assist senior management in decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activities.
• Mentor and train accounting staff to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience of 5-10 years in an accounting leadership role.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and financial management principles.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage the accounting team and operations.
