The Role of Customer Reliability Engineer

John Crane is seeking a Customer Reliability Engineer for a full-time position in Al Jubail. This role involves providing on-site support to external customers, focusing on the reliability and performance of rotating equipment, particularly sealing systems. The engineer will identify opportunities for improvement, troubleshoot equipment issues, and conduct detailed analyses to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reliability analyses of customer rotating equipment, with a focus on sealing system performance and optimization.
• Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for sealing systems and rotating equipment, including site assessments, data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings and recommendations to customers.
• Conduct field troubleshooting activities, including problem diagnosis, development of corrective actions, and implementation of appropriate solutions in collaboration with customer teams.
• Deliver detailed technical presentations and recommendations to customers to support reliability improvement initiatives, sales opportunities, and RCA activities.
• Provide on-site technical support for John Crane products and assist with customer maintenance activities.
• Support customer sites with equipment measurements, seal installation, commissioning, and technical inspections.
• Ensure all work adheres to John Crane standards, procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective technical support and professional communication.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in conducting failure analyses and reliability assessments of rotating equipment, with a specific focus on sealing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify performance and reliability improvement opportunities.
• Experience in troubleshooting equipment issues and conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCA) using methodologies such as Fault Tree Analysis, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagrams, and Apollo RCA.
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, requiring on-site support to external customers. The role involves working closely with customer teams and adhering to John Crane's operational and safety standards.
