Lead Electrical Engineer

About the Role

SASREF is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join its team in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring the integrity and reliability of the plant's electrical systems, providing essential technical support for high voltage equipment, protective relays, and associated control circuits. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for electrical testing, inspection, and maintenance, assisting in the planning and monitoring of maintenance execution, and investigating equipment failures across the plant. This position also serves as the custodian of the Electrical Master Plan and acts as the technical authority for change approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering advice and technical expertise to SASREF business units and departments, supporting project development, engineering studies, shutdown/turnaround (SD/TA) plans, and improvement programs.
• Assist in developing, monitoring implementation, and revising plant electrical equipment maintenance strategies to enhance the integrity and reliability of electrical equipment.
• Contribute to 'Bad Actors' reviews for electrical equipment, analyzing problems and recommending solutions to improve asset reliability.
• Develop and implement integrity audit plans for electrical equipment to ensure asset integrity.
• Provide technical authority approval for design changes related to electrical systems.

Technical Planning and Execution

• Provide shutdown/turnaround (SD/TA) scope of work for electrical support disciplines to ensure plant and equipment availability and integrity.
• Plan, prepare, and execute assigned SD/TA maintenance tasks, including electrical maintenance, inspection, and QA/QC of contractor work, to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
• Develop, plan, monitor, and review testing and inspection (T&I) plans for electrical systems to maintain safe and reliable plant operation.
• Develop and maintain custody of the Electrical Master Plan.

Leadership and Compliance

• Lead, motivate, develop, and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and enhance capability.
• Ensure that business processes and work activities relevant to the position are executed in compliance with SASREF policies, procedures, and best practices, promoting safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Lead Electrical Engineer position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, particularly with high voltage equipment, protective relays, and maintenance planning within an industrial setting.

This role operates within a restricted area and follows a day working schedule.
