About the Role

Alboom Marine Saudi Arabia is seeking an Assistant Mechanic (Outboard Engines) to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are eager to learn and develop their skills in marine engine maintenance and repair. The Assistant Mechanic will support senior technicians and, once trained, will independently perform routine maintenance tasks on outboard engines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical technicians with engine servicing, repairs, overhauls, and new engine rigging.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision, including oil and filter changes, gear oil replacement, impeller checks, spark plug replacement, anode inspection, and engine flushing.
• Remove and refit engines, lower units, propellers, and control systems.
• Prepare engines and boats for service by washing, flushing, and mounting them on stands.
• Collect necessary parts from the store based on job cards and ensure the return of any unused parts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, engine stands, and the mechanical work area.
• Participate in sea trials and respond to marina service calls as required.
• Accurately record all work performed and parts used on job cards.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, particularly concerning fuel, oils, and lifting operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A technical institute certificate or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and progress towards independently handling service tasks.
• A valid Saudi driving license is considered an advantage.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a transferable Iqama.

This role is based in Al Jubail and involves working within a marine service environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols related to mechanical work and handling of marine equipment.
