QC Inspector Structural

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector - Structural to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of structural steel fabrication and erection activities with established drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on structural steel fabrication and erection works.
• Witness structural bolting, welding, and alignment checks in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify structural steel installation against approved drawings, erection plans, and specified tolerances.
• Verify materials, including structural steel, bolts, and coatings, against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify the calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified structural works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and relevant structural codes, such as AISC.
• Support the preparation of quality documentation for structural handover dossiers.

Performance Evaluation

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on several key indicators, including:

• Accuracy and completeness of inspections.
• Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances.
• First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts.
• Adherence to inspection schedules and hold points.
• Quality of inspection documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural quality control and inspection.
