About the Role

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Al-Jubail is seeking a Senior Counsel, Legal to join their team. This full-time position is based in Dhahran and Al Jubail. The Senior Counsel will provide strategic and operational legal advice across corporate, commercial, governance, compliance, regulatory, and contractual matters, ensuring the company's legal interests are protected through proactive risk management and sound legal counsel.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to safeguard the Company's legal interests. This involves providing effective legal solutions and counsel that support business objectives while ensuring strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and governance requirements. The Senior Counsel will be instrumental in managing legal risks and supporting the organization's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent legal advice and guidance to management and business functions on legal, commercial, governance, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Assess legal implications of strategic initiatives, business transactions, projects, and corporate decisions.
• Offer practical, business-oriented legal solutions while ensuring adequate legal risk mitigation.
• Draft, review, revise, negotiate, and execute complex legal agreements and commercial transactions, including M&A transactions and projects.
• Advise on contractual strategies and risk allocation mechanisms to protect the Company's legal and commercial interests.
• Resolve contractual disputes and contractual interpretation issues.
• Support corporate governance activities across the organization and ensure legal and regulatory compliance in governance matters for committees and management bodies.
• Ensure the maintenance and integrity of corporate records and governance documentation.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the organization and recommend appropriate actions.
• Lead legal compliance reviews and assessments, and support the development, implementation, and enhancement of legal compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks associated with business operations, contracts, transactions, and organizational initiatives.
• Support enterprise risk management activities relating to legal and regulatory exposures.
• Manage legal disputes, claims, investigations, and litigation matters.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, and other external parties.
• Promote legal awareness and best practices across the organization.
• Contribute to the development of legal policies, frameworks, standards, and procedures.
• Support the head of department with training and development initiatives for junior legal staff.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 8-10 years of relevant legal experience.
