About the Role

TASNEE is seeking a Specialist II, Mechanical to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time position is central to developing robust maintenance strategies, conducting detailed inspections, and preparing comprehensive plans for various mechanical systems and equipment. The role focuses on ensuring operational reliability and efficiency through expert mechanical oversight and intervention.

Role Overview

The Specialist II, Mechanical will be responsible for preparing maintenance procedures, conducting thorough inspections, and developing equipment/system-specific inspection and preventive maintenance checklists. Key equipment areas include Diesel engines, Lifting Equipment (such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers), and HVAC systems. This role also involves developing Statements of Work (SOW), reviewing spare parts, conducting technical evaluations of proposals, performing Risk Assessments (PH&A), and MOC Evaluations.

Core Duties and Tasks

  • Conduct detailed inspections of Diesel engines, HVAC, and lifting equipment, formulating precise repair recommendations.
  • Develop equipment/system-specific task lists, PM Plans, CTI/TRA, and operational procedures for various mechanical assets.
  • Prepare Statements of Work (SOW) for repair activities, Turnaround Maintenance (TAM), and Annual Rated Contracts (ARC).
  • Perform technical evaluations of contracts and proposals, and assess materials required for maintenance and repair works.
  • Conduct survey and condition-based inspections for Diesel engines, HVAC, lifting equipment, and other department-related equipment.
  • Review spare parts and initiate requests for spare parts/Material Data Governance (MDG).
  • Execute Risk Assessments, Root Cause Analysis, and incident investigations, including the preparation of failure reports.
  • Prepare Capital Expenses Budget (Capex) and manage Management of Change (MOC) activities from initiation through closeout.
  • Review and update engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Perform criticality assessment/revaluation of assets and address reliability and integrity actions for department-scope equipment.
  • Coordinate and supervise project handover/takeover activities, maintain records, and update equipment master data in SAP.
  • Act as an onsite lead during critical work or operational conditions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Diploma in Mechanical / Electromechanical or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, reliability, or a related field.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a proactive approach to mechanical systems management and involves acting as an onsite lead during critical operational periods to ensure smooth and safe execution of tasks.
