About the Role: Electrical Supervisor

Nama Chemicals Co. is seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Al Jubail. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing all daily electrical maintenance activities, ensuring the plant operates safely and efficiently without interruption. The role involves leading a team, managing maintenance tasks, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Operational Supervision and Management

  • Supervise all daily electrical maintenance activities, including scheduling, execution, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job contributions, and recommend compensation actions in adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct group meetings, discuss safety issues, distribute activities, and ensure proper execution.
  • Provide required spares and communicate with the planning group, ensuring proper update of equipment history files.
  • Review maintenance plans, including man-hours, other disciplines, and support, ensuring proper closing and data filling for work orders after activity completion.
  • Respond to operation and maintenance activities (normal or emergency cases), assess risks, and ensure all necessary tools and manpower are provided.
  • Prepare scope of work for new site jobs in coordination with operations.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) using SAP and conduct technical reviews of vendor offers where applicable.
  • Create maintenance/job history and repeat failures history and data.
  • Plan and execute Management of Change (MOC) jobs.
  • Follow up on PT meetings where applicable and prepare monthly maintenance reports.
  • Create plant/equipment downtime history and take suitable action to avoid future downtime.

Technical Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, documentation, and repair of Industrial Electrical Motors and their control circuits in MCCs, Breakers and Switchgears, Transformers, HVAC Systems, UPS Systems, and Batteries Systems.
  • Work and troubleshoot independently due to the diverse nature of the work.
  • Troubleshoot Motor failures, transformer failures, UPS failures, HVAC failures, and battery failures.
  • Perform PM/servicing for all types of electrical equipment.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of critical and normal spare parts and manage spares for critical equipment.
  • Plan for shutdown activities, including material, manpower, and services.
  • Ensure correct tools, instruments, and equipment are used for all jobs and stored properly as per relevant procedures and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 Years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a reputed college/university.
  • Vocational Training/Industrial training institute certification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of electrical maintenance experience in the Petrochemical Industry.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems and independent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lead a small team.
  • Basic knowledge of UPS and Power Systems and troubleshooting.
  • Computer knowledge for closing work orders and ability to create PRs in the SAP system.
  • Experience in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and process isolations safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and standards, including confined space, hot works, and working on heights.
  • Knowledgeable in hazard identification, environmental aspects, and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of Electrical safe practices and PPE effects of current on the human body.

Compliance, Safety, and Professional Development

  • Comply with NAMA policies and procedures, contributing to target SHE rates and adhering to quality procedures and NAMA ISO certified standards.
  • Accountable for subordinatesโ€™ safety compliance and participation in safety drills and walkthroughs.
  • Maintain documents related to key audits such as ISO/OHSAS and other statutory requirements.
  • Enhance employeesโ€™ knowledge by conducting on-job/classroom training sessions, reviewing training material, and attending all scheduled training sessions.
  • Ensure subordinates complete their training as per plan and effectively conduct regular appraisals with unit employees.
