About the Role

شركة تمور الراجحية للإنتاج الزراعي والحيواني (رابكو) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join its team in Al Kharj, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for maintaining critical infrastructure that supports the company's agricultural production and storage operations.

Role Overview

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician will be responsible for the comprehensive operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This includes cold rooms, chillers, and freezers, ensuring that required temperatures and humidity levels are consistently maintained for the optimal storage and preservation of dates and other products. The role focuses on enhancing equipment efficiency and minimizing operational breakdowns and downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and routine maintenance for refrigeration and air conditioning systems according to approved schedules and plans.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair cold rooms, refrigerators, freezers, and their associated equipment.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure their stability within the required limits for date storage.
• Diagnose malfunctions in refrigeration devices and equipment, identify root causes, and perform appropriate repair work.
• Check refrigerant gas levels and pressures, ensure no leaks are present, and address them according to approved procedures.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and work to restore equipment operation as quickly as possible.
• Record maintenance work, breakdowns, and spare parts used, and submit technical reports to the supervisor.
• Identify requirements for spare parts, materials, and supplies necessary for maintenance work.
• Adhere to the company's approved operating and maintenance procedures.
• Immediately report any risks or malfunctions that may affect the safety of products, equipment, or personnel.
• Contribute to improving energy consumption efficiency and reducing losses resulting from malfunctions or poor efficiency of refrigeration systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Minimum of two years of experience in maintaining cold rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• High proficiency in diagnosing malfunctions in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Skill in detecting and addressing refrigerant gas leaks.
• Skill in performing preventive maintenance and prioritizing breakdowns.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to take appropriate technical actions.
• Ability to handle emergency breakdowns and work under pressure.
• Ability to detect malfunctions, analyze their causes, and find appropriate solutions.
• Good knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning principles and systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycle components and their functions.
• Knowledge of cold room and freezer systems and methods for maintaining required temperatures.
