About Aajil and the Account Executive Role

Aajil is a Saudi, Sharia-compliant B2B working-capital fintech company serving the industrial supply chain, including contractors, traders, and manufacturers. The company operates its entire lending business through an internal product suite. We are seeking a proactive and independent Account Executive to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on driving sales within a massive and underserved market.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a sales pipeline from scratch by identifying contractors, traders, and manufacturers in need of working capital, securing appropriate contacts, and arranging meetings.
• Manage the full sales cycle independently, from initial prospecting and qualification to pitching, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Generate leads through direct engagement, including cold visits, referrals, and leveraging personal networks, rather than relying on inbound marketing.
• Achieve sales targets, taking ownership of registrations, activations, and Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).
• Maintain an organized pipeline by regularly updating the CRM, identifying potential blockers, and analyzing conversion ratios.
• Identify and communicate market patterns, such as responsive segments or emerging verticals, to inform team strategy.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience selling to contractors, traders, or industrial businesses, or experience on the supplier side selling materials such as steel, pipes, cables, equipment, or building materials within the sector.
• A strong network of professional contacts who are accessible and responsive.
• Demonstrated ability to close deals and generate a personal pipeline without an established system, SDR support, warm inbound leads, or significant brand recognition.
• In-depth understanding of the construction and trading market in KSA, including challenges related to timely supplier payments.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Work Environment and Approach

This role operates within a flat organizational structure, offering significant autonomy as one of the initial salespeople in the market. The contributions of the Account Executive will help establish future sales playbooks. This is not an account management position focused on maintaining an existing portfolio, nor is it a structured sales role with warm leads provided by an SDR team. Expect a weekly cadence, direct access to leadership, and engagement with a product designed to address a genuine client need.
