The Account Executive Role

Aajil is seeking a full-time Account Executive based in Al Khobar with 2-5 years of experience. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, focusing on direct engagement with contractors, traders, and manufacturers to understand their procurement processes and secure deals. It is a field-based position that demands significant initiative, as it does not involve extensive back-end support, pre-fed leads, or account management of an existing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating their own pipeline and driving new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a sales pipeline from scratch by identifying and engaging contractors, traders, and manufacturers in need of working capital, securing meetings with key decision-makers.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and qualification to pitching, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Execute ground-level sales activities, including cold visits, leveraging referrals, and utilizing personal networks, rather than relying on inbound marketing leads.
• Achieve targets for registrations, activations, and Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).
• Maintain an accurate and current CRM, identify and flag potential blockers early, and monitor conversion ratios.
• Identify and communicate market patterns, such as responsive segments or emerging verticals, to inform team strategy.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience selling to contractors, traders, or industrial businesses, or experience on the supplier side selling materials such as steel, pipes, cables, equipment, or building materials within the sector.
• A clear understanding of how these businesses operate, their decision-making processes, and key motivators.
• A strong network of contacts who are responsive to direct outreach.
• A demonstrated track record of closing deals independently, without extensive back-end support (*, SDRs, warm inbound leads, or a dominant brand presence).
• Deep knowledge of the construction and trading market in KSA, including an understanding of challenges related to timely supplier payments.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating the ability to pursue alternative strategies without constant instruction.
