About the Role: Associate Project Engineer

ABB is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position reports to the Operations Manager and supports engineering activities across projects of varying sizes and complexities. The role involves contributing to the SA-OPC Business Line within the Middle East region, collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and Business Development teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Associate Project Engineer will support engineering tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. This includes completing assigned tasks efficiently while adhering to contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies. The position also contributes to the engineering design process through data collection, analysis, and technical solution development. The work model for this role is hybrid/on-site.

• Perform basic survey work, standard automation engineering, analysis, and basic design tasks.
• Collect data and support engineering design production.
• Exercise judgment on limited details of work and apply standard methods to prepare relevant documentation.
• Support communication pertaining to specific assignments in meetings.
• Participate in workshops related to engineering, design, tools, and processes.
• Work in graphic/application engineering development in DCS.
• Program, implement, test, and document process control applications.
• Understand control narratives and P&IDs.
• Assist in preparing proposals/presentations for engineering projects/programs, including bills of materials and estimated engineering hours.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in engineering or project support roles. This experience should demonstrate an ability to manage tasks efficiently and comply with technical and safety standards.
