About the Role

Kent is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join its engineering team within the Oil & Gas market in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves contributing to the growth of the team, strengthening technical capabilities, and enhancing Kent’s presence in the sector.

Role Scope and Project Leadership

The Lead Project Engineer will provide EPC delivery leadership for the IK project team, focusing on the Manifa project. This includes overseeing engineering support, site surveys, procurement, sub-contract management, construction setup, and full construction execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Manifa IK project team.
  • Manage coordination and communication with other disciplines, key suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Direct all project team members and functions, including HSE, QA, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sub-Contracts, to ensure project delivery.
  • Consult with Quality Assurance on quality issues, ensuring compliance with ISO Quality procedures, the Project Quality Plan, and Design Integrity processes.
  • Provide support during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Stay informed on developments and technical innovations in Project Management; knowledge of AWP is advantageous.
  • Oversee the overall quality of the project, including budget, schedule, plans, and personnel performance, and report regularly on project status.
  • Cooperate and communicate with other Engineering disciplines and Project Stakeholders to provide assistance and technical support as required.
  • Review deliverables submitted by subcontractors, including project schedules, budgets, and change management.
  • Conduct regular meetings with internal teams, key sub-contractors, and the Proponent.
  • Delegate tasks to team members based on their skill sets, experience, and abilities to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Monitor the project budget.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and presentations, and deliver presentations.
  • Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
  • Document and report project progress to stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor adherence to performance standards, specifications, QA/QC rules, and related regulations and processes.
  • Establish systems to collect data and measure project metrics.
  • Organize techniques for conducting field tests and assessing their quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
