About the Role

Flowserve is seeking a Pump Quality & HSE Engineer (QRC) to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for supporting and coordinating quality assurance, inspection, health, safety, and environmental activities within the Pump QRC. The Engineer ensures compliance with applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, statutory requirements, customer requirements, and internal standards, while also promoting a safe work environment and adherence to HSE practices. This is a hands-on individual contributor position requiring strong technical depth in quality, inspection, and site safety, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Perform and support documented inspections to verify conformance of parts, repairs, and assemblies to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan in line with customer and Flowserve requirements.
  • Define, coordinate, and control project quality documentation required for repairs, inspections, and final release.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, painting, and welding inspections according to applicable procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Review and verify supplier, welder, and NDE personnel qualifications, ensuring compliance with required standards.
  • Review and approve supplier manufacturing and testing documents, and support customer and third-party inspection approvals when required.
  • Prepare test and inspection requirements for assigned projects, including ITPs and procurement specifications.
  • Document non-conforming material and support Non-Conformance Report (NCR) processing and resolution.
  • Support internal quality audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards, laws, regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, quality logs, and release documentation.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives and high levels of customer service.

HSE Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of site HSE procedures and safe work practices within the Pump QRC.
  • Promote compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work requirements, and risk control measures.
  • Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety awareness activities.
  • Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors, and support corrective actions.
  • Support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure contractors and employees follow required safety requirements, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), housekeeping, lifting safety, and equipment safety.
  • Assist in environmental and safety compliance activities as required by site procedures and regulations.
  • Encourage a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and daily field presence.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Direct experience in the Pump's OEM/QRC field is mandatory.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to operational excellence and high standards of customer service.
