Robotics Engineer

About the Role

Yokogawa is seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience in the field. The role involves contributing to the development and implementation of robotics solutions within a leading industrial automation and information systems provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for the development and implementation of robotics solutions.
• Handle system integration and testing of robotic OEM platforms (using SDKs) with Yokogawa Systems.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party systems (hardware/software) into Yokogawa Systems.
• Explore new technologies in line with customer requirements and new use cases on robotics, developing pilot trial methodologies and proposals.
• Collaborate with various robotics OEMs to scope out data integration, perform site trials, troubleshooting, and improvements on autonomous robotics platforms.
• Provide technical support to field operators and other stakeholders.
• Conduct feasibility studies for robotics implementation and assess value-add for customers through the adoption of robotics technologies.
• Carry out site surveys with field risk assessment and develop appropriate implementation plans for robotics solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics and field inspection technologies, including the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Robotics Engineer position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. A strong background in robotics, system integration, and industrial automation is essential, as demonstrated through previous work in developing, implementing, and supporting robotics solutions within complex industrial environments.
