Job Summary

The Senior Calibration Engineer will coordinate construction testing activities with technicians and clients, ensuring site labs meet equipment specifications and possess valid calibration certificates. This full-time role, based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, involves issuing testing reports, ensuring all testing adheres to required specifications, and leading a team to maintain efficiency. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

This role encompasses both managerial and technical duties, reporting directly to the Calibration Technical Section Head.

• Managerial Duties: Implement company policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, and support their development. Oversee the implementation of operations plans and monitor costs and resources. Avoid conflicts of interest to ensure impartiality in assessments and maintain confidentiality of data and calibration results.
• Technical Duties: Respond to customer inquiries regarding calibration progress and reporting. Prepare and initially check calibration reports for approval. Analyze data and conduct corrective actions to prevent non-conforming items. Set calibration schedules and supervise work performed by supervisors and technicians. Communicate with equipment suppliers/vendors and calibration agencies for purchasing, calibration, and rental.
• Review master equipment certificates, calibration agencies' CMCs, and suppliers’ proposals. Evaluate requests, prepare, and provide quotes and bids for calibration, maintenance, and special inspection works. Conduct calibration/verification and special inspection reports, communicating results to relevant parties.
• Ensure tests are carried out according to standard test methods/work instructions and customer requirements. Conduct analysis of test results from technicians, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. Ensure all site/lab equipment is fit for use through calibration and maintenance programs.
• Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions. Review related orders to ensure all required information is clear. Ensure proper storage of received items, maintaining specified storage conditions and handling requirements. Supervise lab supervisors and data entry personnel. Review and approve certificates, technical proposals, and special reports in coordination with the Calibration Head. Provide technical training and adopt new calibration technologies.

Reporting Structure

The Senior Calibration Engineer reports to the Calibration Technical Section Head and has direct reports including Calibration Lab Supervisors, Technicians, and Data Entry personnel.
