About the Associate Technical Consultant Role

Medtronic is seeking an Associate Technical Consultant for Structural Heart to join its team in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role offers an opportunity for an experienced professional in the medical device market to provide essential technical and clinical support. The position involves significant travel within the assigned geographic area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic area and to specific customer accounts.
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, partnering with physicians and hospital personnel on products and solutions.
  • Support technical and clinical needs at hospitals, including therapy indications, pre-procedure planning, intra-operative support, and post-implant patient management.
  • Provide technical expertise through presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Conduct on-site education and consulting, supporting the establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings; independent mobility is regularly required.
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the commercial organization to recommend enhancements in sales processes, product launches, and optimize clinical support pathways.
  • Maintain ongoing technical development by staying updated on new products, solutions, and patient management offerings.
  • Participate in cross-functional assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry and/or a hospital environment.
  • Deep understanding of pain management and neuromodulation therapies.
  • Experience supporting Structural Heart procedures, specifically TAVI and TPVI.
  • Familiarity with the operating theatre (OT) environment, including sterilization and radiation protocols.
  • Familiarity with current products, technologies, and market trends in the relevant field.
  • Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Familiarity with radiology protocols and imaging technology.
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
  • Prior hospital or clinic experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and participate in multiple tasks or projects within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and a consistent record of meeting deadlines.

Work Location and Travel

This position is based in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia. The role requires significant travel, with an expectation of 60-70% travel time to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings.
