Role Overview

The Field Service Technician-3 is responsible for the installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of Flowserve’s pumps, seals, and other equipment. This full-time position is based in Al Qatif and involves providing real-time technical support to customers across various industries, including oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater. The technician will offer recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacement equipment, actively engaging in onsite problem-solving and solution implementation at customer facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests.
• Assess mechanical problems and implement prompt resolutions.
• Collaborate with customer personnel and lead work crews as required.
• Oversee the complete repair cycle: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
• Ensure successful and timely equipment installation.
• Perform pre-startup equipment checks and assess startup performance.
• Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
• Train customers on proper operating and maintenance procedures for Flowserve products.
• Collaborate with Flowserve’s supporting organizations, including repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering.
• Maintain and submit organized, accurate records, including daily reports, jobs quoted, jobs performed, and time and materials charged.
• Uphold Flowserve’s values for ethics, safety, and quality through actions and communication.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Professional certifications in this field.
• High School Diploma / GED with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in the industrial applications and operations of pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with installing mechanical equipment.
• Experience in repairing pump equipment, installing mechanical seals, and changing seal faces/gaskets/O-rings.
• Proven ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• An active driver’s license with a good driving record.

Physical Demands

This role requires physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds (25kg), ascending/descending ladders and staircases, and climbing and reaching in, under, and around large equipment, often outdoors year-round. For positions requiring customer site access, candidates may need to complete a medical Fit for Duty evaluation to verify physical and medical capability to perform essential duties safely and effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
