About the Chief Accountant Role

Hyatt Place is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the financial operations for the upcoming opening of Hyatt Place AlUla. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Finance Department, aligning with Hyatt International's corporate strategies and brand standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and commercially focused, contributing to the hotel's operational and commercial success while consistently meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations.

Role Context and Objectives

Hyatt Place AlUla represents a significant expansion for Hyatt in the region, featuring 214 guestrooms and various amenities catering to both leisure and business travelers. The Chief Accountant will play a key role in establishing strong financial controls and supporting informed decision-making across the hotel. This role requires a finance professional who leads with integrity and ensures compliance with all relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
  • Supervise functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Credit.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and the implementation of internal controls.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership to promote financial discipline and support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree or diploma in Finance, Commerce, or Hospitality/Tourism Management.
  • A CA certification or equivalent professional qualification is considered an advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant in a larger operation is required.
