Commercial Manager

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of road and infrastructure projects. This full-time position is based in Al Madinah, specifically covering projects in Al Ula and Medina. The role involves managing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and handling claims and variations to support project teams in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer contracts effectively.
• Review, negotiate, and finalize contract terms with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare and review claims, variations, and change orders.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide commercial advice and support to project teams.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, payments, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve disputes.
• Prepare reports on commercial performance and contractual issues for senior management.
• Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5-10 years) in contract management and commercial roles within road and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other standard forms of construction contracts.
• Proficiency in contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolution.
