DCS SCADA & Automation Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

Petrocon Engineers & Consultants is seeking a DCS, SCADA & Automation Commissioning Engineer to join their team. This full-time position is based in Al Wajh, Saudi Arabia, specifically for the AMAALA Project. The role focuses on the commissioning, testing, and operational readiness of industrial automation and control systems.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and functionality of various control systems. This involves comprehensive activities from initial testing through to system integration, start-up support, and troubleshooting to achieve operational readiness for industrial automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities for DCS, PLC, SCADA, and other industrial automation systems.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), loop checks, and functional testing procedures.
• Support plant commissioning, start-up, system validation, and operational readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot control system issues and perform root-cause analysis to resolve problems efficiently.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering, construction, operations, and vendor teams.
• Support the integration of control systems with field instrumentation.
• Prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation, test reports, and system handover records.
• Assist with operator training and facilitate the final system handover process.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in DCS, SCADA & Automation Commissioning.
• Demonstrated experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency in conducting FAT, SAT, loop checks, and functional testing.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based at the AMAALA Project site in Al Wajh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires collaboration with various internal and external teams in a project-driven environment.
