Asset Engineer

About the Role

Saudi Railway Company is seeking an Asset Engineer to join their team in An Nu'ayriyah, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves overseeing the performance and maintenance of rolling stock assets to ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Role Purpose

The Asset Engineer plays a critical role in aligning asset management initiatives with broader organizational objectives. This position focuses on continuous improvement in asset performance, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and supporting the lifecycle management of rolling stock assets from handover to decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Align asset management initiatives with departmental and organizational objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality and timeliness of maintenance work performed by the maintenance team.
• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
• Continuously analyze rolling stock performance data to identify opportunities for improvement in asset efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Recommend and implement enhancements, modifications, or upgrades to optimize asset performance.
• Ensure that all rolling stock assets comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee and provide guidance to projects pertaining to asset handover, maintenance readiness, and integration requirements for new or altered rolling stock assets.
• Support outgoing fleet decommissioning activities and establish optimum decommissioning sequencing with consideration to asset condition, performance, and maintenance demand.
• Manage maintenance plans, critical complex failures, modifications, and maintenance records.
• Manage master maintenance data related to existing, new, and disposed assets to optimize data integrity and reduce associated business risks.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in asset management or engineering.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in An Nu'ayriyah, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, within the Saudi Railway Company. The role involves working with a dedicated team to maintain and improve the performance of critical railway assets.
