The Role of Senior Accounting Officer

Almarai is seeking a dedicated Senior Accounting Officer to join its finance team in Buraydah. This full-time position is crucial for supporting accurate financial reporting and maintaining robust financial controls within the organization. The successful candidate will contribute to the integrity of financial operations and ensure compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash flow operations and ensure accurate recording.
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliations of accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle all period-end accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate closure.
  • Manage costing processes to support financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Conduct SAP validations to ensure data integrity and system accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Provide essential on-the-job support and guidance to the broader finance team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience gained within a commercial organization.
  • Prior experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sectors is preferred.

Professional Eligibility

Candidates must meet the minimum credit hours required for eligibility for membership with the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA). This requirement ensures a foundational understanding of professional accounting standards and practices relevant to the role.
