About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled Contract Advisor to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This contract role is pivotal in providing professional contractual and commercial support across the entire contract lifecycle within the assigned organization. The Advisor acts as the Contract Proponent representative, offering expert guidance from the initial development of requirements and scope of work through execution, administration, amendments, claims, renewals, and close-out processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional contractual and commercial advice to contract proponents throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support the development of contract requirements, scopes of work, commercial terms, and comprehensive contract documentation.
  • Review and coordinate contracts and amendments, ensuring adherence to internal review, approval, and execution processes.
  • Administer assigned contracts, meticulously monitoring contractor performance, compliance, deliverables, milestones, and all contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate various contract actions including amendments, extensions, renewals, and terminations.
  • Review proposals, bid responses, pricing structures, and contractual terms, providing informed recommendations.
  • Participate actively in bid evaluations, bidder qualification, contract negotiations, and the preparation of negotiation positions and counteroffers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management, MIS, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, with a preference for experience within the petroleum, oil & gas, energy, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration, contract development, commercial management, procurement, or a related operational area.
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience involving contracting, accounting, auditing, commercial analysis, or related techniques and procedures.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of the entire contract lifecycle management, encompassing development, execution, administration, amendments, renewals, claims, and close-out.
  • Familiarity with various contract types, including lump-sum, unit-price, and time-and-materials contracts.
  • Understanding of corporate contracting policies, procurement procedures, governance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Proven experience in contract performance monitoring, compliance tracking, change control, and comprehensive contract administration.
  • Proficiency in bid evaluation, commercial analysis, contractor negotiations, claims management, and contract amendments.
  • Ability to prepare and review complex scopes of work, contract documentation, commercial analyses, reports, and management presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with ERP/business systems used for contract administration and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of evaluating proposals, pricing, contractual risks, and commercial exposure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, professional specialists, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, enabling the effective management of multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.

Work Location and Type

This is a contract position based in Dammam, within the Eastern Region. The role requires a dedicated professional to manage critical contractual functions within a dynamic organizational setting.
