About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Contract Advisor to join our team in Yanbu. This full-time role is vital for ensuring that all contractual agreements are legally sound, beneficial for the organization, and aligned with project objectives. The Contract Advisor will provide essential support to the client for the GIP Project.

Core Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Oversee the administration of contracts to ensure adherence to commercial terms and conditions, managing contract amendments, extensions, and renewals.
  • Review and process change orders, ensuring they are documented, justified, and approved according to company policies and project requirements. Negotiate change orders with contractors to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Handle claims and disputes related to commercial terms, ensuring efficient and fair resolution. Prepare documentation and evidence to support claims and counterclaims.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on project scope, schedule, and budget. Develop strategies to mitigate any negative impacts and ensure changes are implemented smoothly.

Contractual Oversight and Compliance

  • Manage commercial terms with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company. Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Identify potential risks in contract terms and conditions. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of potential issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect contract terms.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve contract management processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in contract management.

Project Integration and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of all contract negotiations and agreements. Provide regular reports to senior management on contract status, performance, and compliance issues.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that contract terms align with project goals and timelines.
  • Ensure that all contractual deliveries meet the required quality standards.
  • Monitor contract budgets and ensure that financial terms are adhered to.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in contract advisory, contract management, or a closely related field.

Work Location

The work locations for this role will be either at the Client Office, an EPC Contractor’s office, or at a Site location within Saudi Arabia.
