About the Role

Aloula Aviation is seeking an Aerodrome Operations Manager to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position is central to overseeing all operations, management, and coordination of facilities maintenance for our Fixed Based Operation (FBO) in conjunction with the aerodrome maintenance division.

Role Overview

The Aerodrome Operations Manager will lead and supervise a dedicated team of aerodrome and FBO staff, including passenger handling and ground handling crew. This role ensures the highest standards of customer service, operational efficiency, safety, and strict regulatory compliance, particularly with GACAR 151 requirements. The manager will also coordinate closely with the aerodrome maintenance team to guarantee the readiness and safety of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and aerodrome facilities, driving performance improvement to support FBO services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all managerial functions, including flight operational reports, personnel actions, and staff training and development.
• Coordinate the turnaround movement of fixed and rotor wing aircraft for efficient passenger, cargo, and mail movement, ensuring qualified GSE and personnel are available.
• Direct and monitor the preparation of necessary documentation such as Aircraft flight release forms, weight & balance forms, passenger/cargo/mail manifests, morning activity & status reports, computer inputs, and fuel reports.
• Direct requests for buses and taxis for company personnel and passengers.
• Maintain and coordinate all airport facilities maintenance activities, addressing safety inspection deficiencies, terminal security, maintenance work orders, and office services requests by coordinating with internal and external entities.
• Review time sheets and contract service entry sheets for ground operations contractor staff.
• Manage janitorial, administrative, transportation, and operational needs by coordinating with external entities.

Compliance and Safety Management

• Inspect aerodrome facilities and vehicles to ensure maintenance and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor radio operations to ensure compliance with GACA, IATA, and ICAO radio communications regulations.
• Maintain stock inventories related to ground operations, passenger handling, terminal requirements, facilities, and safety items.
• Provide information and cooperation with the Safety Review Board as requested, and coordinate the implementation of directives from the Safety & Security Division.
• Perform public relations activities, including meeting and assisting VIP passengers and distinguished visitors, and coordinating with Saudi Government officials.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, security, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across operations.
• Conduct safety briefings and training, prepare reports on operations, employee performance, and financial performance, and maintain necessary documentation as required by Airport regulatory authorities.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in aerodrome operations or a similar field, demonstrating a strong background in managing FBO services and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Work Environment and Reporting

This full-time role is based in Dammam and involves attending meetings with airport authorities and stakeholders. The Aerodrome Operations Manager reports directly to the Ground Services Operations Manager or higher management, performing operational, safety, or management duties as directed to support the growth and success of FBO services at the airport.
