About the Role

SHAFT Automotive Engineering is seeking an Automotive Master Mechanic to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position involves maintaining service operations through vehicle inspection, diagnosis, and repair. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in automotive mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and other mechanics to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements.
  • Manage waste fluids, consumables, and old spare parts responsibly.
  • Inspect vehicles to check functional condition, repair engine failures, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and replace parts and components.
  • Report vehicle condition checks and final repairs to the Service Advisor.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as Autel and other brands for troubleshooting car faults, resetting, calibrating, and programming.
  • Maintain and operate A/C machines and troubleshoot vehicle A/C systems.
  • Operate and maintain vehicle scissor lifts and two-post lifts.
  • Verify vehicle serviceability through test drives and adjustment of controls and systems.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and ensure good housekeeping practices.
  • Maintain vehicle appearance cleanliness during maintenance and pre-delivery.
  • Record all service and repair activities to maintain accurate vehicle records.
  • Keep shop equipment operational by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Evaluate service recommendations and parts options.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like Autel and other diagnostic brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs.

Required Skills

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to maintain and operate specialized automotive equipment.
  • Adherence to safety aspects and service center regulations.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining vehicle records and cleanliness.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern region. The role requires active participation in a service center environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and service standards.
