Sawab is an industrial B2B distribution company based in Dammam, Eastern Region, serving contractors and industrial clients across Saudi Arabia. The company supplies PPE, safety materials, building materials, and industrial consumables, alongside its pump and valve distribution business.

The Role

Sawab is seeking an International Sourcing Specialist for Building Materials, PPE, and Industrial Consumables. This full-time role involves managing international procurement, primarily from China and Asia, across various product categories including building materials, PPE, sanitaryware, safety equipment, and construction consumables. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, vet, and negotiate with international suppliers, including direct manufacturers and those found via platforms like Alibaba or trade fairs.
• Manage the complete import cycle, which includes RFQs, sample management, quality inspection, landed cost modeling, LCL/FCL shipment planning, and freight coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi import regulations, including SABER/SASO certification, HS code classification, and customs documentation.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database detailing pricing, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), and lead times.
• Support fast-turnaround RFQs for major client accounts, focusing on PPE, FR uniforms, safety shoes, and other safety materials.
• Coordinate with the operations team for inventory planning and the replenishment of recurring consumables.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in international sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with a focus on imports from China, India, and Europe.
• Working knowledge of SABER/SASO regulations and Saudi customs processes.
• Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in landed-cost calculations (unit cost, freight, duties, margins).
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and trade fairs as required.

Work Environment

This role operates within a small, fast-moving team where the specialist will have direct access to leadership and significant ownership over supplier relationships and product lines. The position offers the opportunity to build the sourcing function from the ground up.
