Lead Civil Engineer

About the Role

Satech is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 10 years of experience, focusing on civil and structural design within substation projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and oversee engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design substation projects up to 380kV, ensuring compliance with SEC Standards and relevant international design codes.
• Utilize software such as STAAD FOUNDATION, STAAD PRO, and RAM CONNECTION for design tasks.
• Work on substation building design and associated outdoor designs.
• Review technical submittals and vendor documents, preparing technical replies to address client comments.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and other project reports as required.
• Provide technical direction and engineering leadership to a team of engineers.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, manage project risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization).
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Civil & Structural Design of substations within KSA.
• Proficiency in STAAD FOUNDATION, STAAD PRO, and RAM CONNECTION software.
• Familiarity with SEC Standards and international design codes.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation is an advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region. Local transfer is preferred for candidates currently residing in Saudi Arabia.
