Project Engineer

About the Role

CHINT is seeking a Project Engineer to manage the end-to-end execution of factory manufacturing projects in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is based in our Dammam MV Joint Venture setup with ATC and is responsible for driving order delivery from initial handover through final testing within our localized Saudi Arabian manufacturing facility. The Project Engineer acts as the primary technical and commercial liaison for clients, ensuring that Medium Voltage (MV) products and Ring Main Units (RMUs) meet precise engineering specifications and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from order handover through engineering, procurement, production, testing, and delivery.
• Review contracts, technical specifications, approved drawings, bills of materials, and delivery commitments.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor milestones, material availability, and production progress.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Production, and QA/QC teams to resolve issues and prevent delays.
• Serve as the main customer contact for project execution, technical clarifications, approvals, and progress updates.
• Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT), inspections, delivery documentation, and project closeout.
• Track changes in scope, additional costs, and delivery risks, escalating issues promptly.
• Provide regular project reports detailing progress, pending actions, responsible persons, and completion dates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Practical knowledge of MV Products, RMUs, and related equipment.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, general arrangements, and customer specifications.
• Experience coordinating several factory projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and ERP/SAP systems.
• Previous experience with Saudi utility, Aramco, water, or industrial projects is preferred.

Work Environment

This role requires strong cross-functional coordination and a background in Electrical Engineering, with experience in Saudi utilities or Aramco projects to ensure on-time project closeout. The position is based in Dammam, within our localized Saudi Arabian manufacturing facility.
