About the Role

Jadeer Logistics is seeking a Transportation Manager to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to planning and managing shipments, optimizing routes, and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of services to customers. The manager will be responsible for monitoring transportation costs, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing external sourcing, all while ensuring strict compliance with TGA, Ports, and Shipping regulations within Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all shipments from the point of order receipt through to final delivery to the end-user.
• Obtain advance information from clients to facilitate effective prior planning and scheduling.
• Schedule daily and weekly transportation routes, focusing on optimizing trips for maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Track orders using established functional systems and provide status updates as required.
• Monitor and report on transportation costs, identifying areas for potential savings and efficiency improvements.
• Manage outsourcing requirements in essential situations, including identifying and arranging contracts with efficient suppliers.
• Ensure the team correctly handles all transport and shipping documents and system entries.
• Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment promptly.
• Research and suggest cost-effective transport and shipping methods to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain organized records of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders for auditing and reference.

Operational Oversight

The Transportation Manager will oversee the operation team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and efficient logistics management. This includes handling shipments safely and within established budgetary constraints, while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance operational workflows and service delivery standards.

Compliance and Safety Management

• Conduct regular safety audits on equipment and perform periodic inspections and auditing in maintenance processes.
• Organize training sessions for employees covering topics such as proper use of machinery, handling of hazardous materials, and requirements for special projects.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, as well as all relevant TGA, Transport, Ports, and shipping legislation.
• Stay up-to-date with all applicable safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a secure working environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in transportation management or a similar logistics leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and optimize complex transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of TGA, Ports, and Shipping regulations specific to Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills to manage teams and client relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in using functional systems for order tracking, route optimization, and overall logistics management.

Location and Compensation
