Job Description

About the Role

Ebara Elliott Energy is seeking a Workshop Mechanic specializing in Turbomachinery to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves recommending and implementing repairs for various industrial and rotating equipment, including compressors and turbines. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and the ability to work with limited supervision while contributing to team training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote safety and quality standards consistently.
  • Document, erect, alter, install, align, repair, replace, disassemble, reassemble, move, and inspect rotating equipment using proper tooling and processes.
  • Plan and oversee repairs with limited supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Conduct all interactions with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Read and comprehend drawings, sketches, work scopes, and verbal instructions.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment, tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications, and documentation for primary functions.
  • Alter and overhaul rotors, turbines, disc and blade holders, shafts, sleeves, gears, couplings, and other necessary equipment.
  • Set up all equipment required for job completion.
  • Accurately measure and record critical clearances and dimensions on turbines, compressors, and other equipment.
  • Understand and process documentation related to turbomachinery, such as inspection reports, photo logs, and hold tags.
  • Maintain continuity across work shifts through documentation and communication of actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
  • Accept ownership of work performance and stay current with job knowledge and skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in industrial and rotating equipment repair.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and accuracy in using various measuring devices, including micrometers, indicators, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ability to pass an annual dimensional inspection test.
  • Advanced knowledge of lifting, rigging, crane, and forklift operations.
  • Capability to assist in training other hourly employees on repair processes and procedures.

This role operates within a workshop setting in Dammam, requiring adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace. The position involves working collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to perform tasks with limited supervision.
