Job Description
Position Overview
First Gulf Company is seeking an experienced Audio Engineer Sound Mixer Recordist I to join its media production team. This full-time position is based in Dhahran, Eastern region, and is central to delivering high-quality audio for a range of corporate media productions, public relations projects, and live events.
Role Contribution
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of audio production, from initial recording to final mixing. This role involves close collaboration with Producers and Directors on both scripted and non-scripted video projects, ensuring that all audio elements meet professional standards for diverse media outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce professional-quality audio recordings for studio and on-location media productions.
- Collaborate with Producers and Directors on scripted and non-scripted video projects.
- Record and mix dialogue, voice-overs, music, ambient sound, and sound effects.
- Produce and mix multi-track audio for corporate videos, public relations projects, and live events.
- Recommend appropriate music, sound libraries, and voice-over talent to support production needs.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate professional audio recording equipment.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior audio engineers and new team members.
- Install and operate multi-input public address (PA) systems for live events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Certification in Professional Audio Recording and Mixing from a recognized training institute.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional audio recording and sound mixing within a commercial or industrial media production environment.
- Proficiency in Pro Tools and digital audio editing workflows.
Technical Skills and Attributes
- Strong knowledge of microphone selection, recording techniques, multi-track recording, audio calibration, and analogue/digital audio formats.
- Experience operating portable recording systems and live sound equipment.
- Ability to produce a professional audio portfolio or demo reel demonstrating technical expertise.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
This full-time position is based in Dhahran, Eastern region, and involves working as part of a dedicated media production team. The role requires adaptability to both studio and on-location settings for various projects.
