About the Mechanical / Static Equipment Engineer Specialist Role

Eram Talent is seeking a Mechanical / Static Equipment Engineer Specialist for a full-time position in Dhahran, Eastern Region. This role involves leading mechanical design review, construction support, commissioning, testing, and engineering activities for new shale gas facilities. The position requires extensive experience with static and rotating equipment within oil and gas production environments, coupled with a solid understanding of plant operations, process technologies, equipment reliability, and maintenance practices.

Project Lifecycle Leadership

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the entire project lifecycle. This includes overseeing engineering design, installation, commissioning, and startup phases. Furthermore, the role encompasses providing ongoing operations support and contributing to optimization efforts. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential, as is supporting Saudi Aramco's capital investment and business strategy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design reviews for new installations and upgrade projects.
  • Develop and review engineering design packages, including PFDs, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Provide daily technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to static and rotating equipment and propose effective solutions.
  • Support construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Participate in Turnaround & Inspection (T&I) and performance testing activities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and recommend technical and economic optimization solutions.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, prepare technical reports, and support management decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or gas processing facilities.
  • Significant experience with static equipment, including vessels, exchangers, columns, tanks, and reactors.
  • Good knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines.
  • Experience across EPC phases: FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of ASME, API, and TEMA codes and standards.
  • Working knowledge of engineering software including PVElite, CAESAR II, and HTRI.

Candidates must possess strong communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary coordination skills to effectively manage project requirements and team dynamics.
