The Role of Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to join the team in Dhahran. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across various customer sites and within the aeromedical center. The specialist will report directly to the Director AFAMC and contribute to the development and implementation of occupational and environmental health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational and environmental health and safety audits at customer sites throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Manage the health and safety department at the aeromedical center and report any deficiencies to the Director AFAMC.
  • Design and carry out occupational hygiene surveys at various RSAF bases on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Produce comprehensive written reports of audits or surveys, including graphs, charts, pictures, and other visual aids to ensure clarity for the customer.
  • Design and deliver occupational and environmental health and safety briefings and training to customers as requested on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Ensure the Aeromedical Centre complies with the Armed Forces Medical Services General Directorate central policies.
  • Develop and provide Crew Resource Management (CRM) training to aircrew undergoing physiological training at the Aeromedical Centre.
  • Provide technical occupational health advice as requested by the customer on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Advise on the development of customer occupational and environmental policies and standards.
  • Assist with other duties directed by the Director AFAMC or SAMS in support of LOA 13 operations.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety roles.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The role involves conducting work at various customer sites throughout the Kingdom.
