About the Role

Baja is seeking a Quality Control Coffee professional to join their team in Hawtat Sudair, Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of coffee products across all production stages, from sorting and roasting to grinding, blending, flavoring, and packaging. The position involves continuous monitoring of process control points and evaluating product quality to meet established standards.

Role Purpose and Compliance

The Quality Control Coffee specialist supports the evaluation of in-process and finished product quality through inspection and cupping. This role ensures strict adherence to specifications and standards, including SFDA, ISO 22000, GMP, and Halal regulations. A key aspect of the role is the immediate identification, correction, and reporting of any deviations in roast profile, moisture, or overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor critical coffee processing steps, including roasting, grinding, blending, and packaging, to ensure compliance with product quality and food safety specifications.
• Conduct in-line inspections, moisture and weight checks, roast profile validation, and verify product attributes such as aroma, color, grind size, and taste.
• Collect coffee samples from various production stages for cupping, internal laboratory testing, or external analysis.
• Report and escalate process deviations or nonconformities, ensuring immediate containment or corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all quality checks, cupping results, sampling data, identified deviations, and corrective actions taken.
• Verify that operators consistently follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to specified roasting, grinding, and packaging parameters.
• Coordinate effectively with production, roasting, sanitation, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to resolve any process-related issues.
• Support internal and external audits by facilitating documentation review and ensuring shop floor readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience in quality control, preferably within the coffee or food processing industry.
