Accountant

About the Role

Banvira Company is seeking a full-time, on-site Accountant in Jeddah, Makkah. This role involves managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting financial reporting processes. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and compliance within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and company account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments and provide financial insights to management.
• Assist with audit preparations and process improvements to enhance financial controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
• 5-10 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role, preferably within the retail, beauty, or FMCG sectors.
• Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reconciliation.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and local tax and regulatory requirements.

• Ability to work on-site in Jeddah and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah, Makkah. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the company's premises.
