Application Developer

About the Role

H&H Shaker is seeking an Application Developer to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on developing and maintaining business applications, contributing to the selection and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, and identifying opportunities to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation for improved efficiency. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal applications, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot application issues, monitor performance, and ensure secure, reliable, and documented solutions.
• Gather requirements from business departments and translate them into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with external software vendors for incident resolution, enhancements, and technical support.

ERP Selection and Implementation Support

• Participate in the technical evaluation of shortlisted ERP solutions, including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Odoo.
• Support requirements gathering across various departments such as Finance, Sales, Inventory, HR, and Service.
• Assist with vendor demonstrations, technical assessments, proof-of-concept testing, and evaluation documentation.
• Contribute to configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, report development, dashboard creation, and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with ERP consultants and business stakeholders under the direction of the National IT Manager.

Artificial Intelligence and Business Automation

• Identify, evaluate, and pilot practical AI tools and automation opportunities across company functions.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows and applications where technically feasible and approved.
• Explore AI-enabled reporting, sales forecasting, inventory insights, customer service, document extraction, and administrative automation.
• Assess proposed AI use cases through proof-of-concept work and measurable business outcomes.
• Evaluate the integration of approved AI capabilities with ERP and other internal applications.
• Apply company information-security, privacy, and approval requirements to all AI initiatives.

System Integration and Digital Transformation

• Develop and maintain API-based integrations among ERP, CRM, HR, and other systems.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual tasks with reliable digital workflows.
• Contribute to digital transformation planning, technology assessment, and continuous process improvement.
