About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Chef De Partie to join its culinary team. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and is based in Jeddah. The Chef De Partie will be responsible for maintaining high standards in dessert food preparation and service within their assigned kitchens, adhering to established management standards.

Shangri-La Jeddah is situated on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea. The hotel is recognized for its luxury standards, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, interiors inspired by the sea and sandy beaches, a dedicated Kids Club, and innovative dining concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate specific duties related to restaurant, banquet, and food production with supervised employees.
Monitor the freshness, presentation, and temperature of all food served.
Ensure proper control over food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving from stores.
Manage timing during service to ensure food is consistently of the highest standards.
Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
Maintain a uniform visual appearance for all prepared dishes, ensuring presentation and garnish meet established standards.
Implement and monitor portion control as defined by recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.
