Egis is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Lead to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time leadership position involves overseeing electrical design aspects for complex airport infrastructure projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations while leading a team of electrical engineers and designers.

Role Overview

The Electrical Design Lead will drive innovation and maintain high standards of technical excellence and project delivery within the electrical design team. This position focuses on developing comprehensive MEP designs for airport terminal facilities, ensuring all solutions meet operational needs, safety standards, and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design team in developing comprehensive MEP designs for airport terminal facilities, including power distribution systems, lighting design, fire safety systems, and emergency backup systems.
• Analyze project requirements and develop detailed electrical design solutions that meet airport operational needs, safety standards, and sustainability objectives.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams to ensure seamless integration of all MEP systems within the airport infrastructure.
• Manage the design process from concept through construction documentation, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Review and approve all electrical design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi building codes, international airport standards, and applicable regulations.
• Utilize BIM and advanced design software to create coordinated, clash-free models and documentation.
• Communicate design decisions and project status to stakeholders, clients, and project management teams.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering sessions, and problem-solving initiatives to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within airport infrastructure or large-scale complex projects. A strong understanding of international standards and local regulations is required.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in electrical design for complex facilities, including power distribution, lighting, fire safety, and emergency backup systems.
• Experience with BIM and advanced design software.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Saudi building codes and international airport standards.
