Field Service Engineer, MEAT & CIS

Leica Microsystems, an operating company of Danaher, is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the MEAT & CIS region. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of professional experience. The role focuses on ensuring the quick resolution of complex customer challenges within the life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology sectors.

Role Context and Company Contribution

This role is instrumental in empowering team members with functional knowledge and contributing to the growth of the overall business (Life Science, Applied, and Medical) beyond service. The Field Service Engineer will collaborate across the organization, identify and implement improvement opportunities, and act as a change agent to ensure processes and standard work are sustained and effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on microscopy systems.
• Work closely with MEAT & CIS Channel Partners, providing support for their training, installation, and repair cases.
• Provide informal guidance to junior team members and offer support in complex situations by proactively sharing knowledge.
• Support business implementation and readiness plans through project planning, management, and the creation of work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare and execute action plans for growth through service revenue generation in the MEAT & CIS region.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated technical expertise in the repair, calibration, maintenance, and upgrade of microscopy systems and related equipment.
• Proficiency across a range of products from a single or multiple product groups, with advanced expertise in at least two complex products from a product group.
• Ability to network, influence, and communicate effectively across various functions and at all organizational levels.
• Experience in training and/or coaching.
• This role requires 0-1 years of professional experience.

Reporting Structure and Work Environment

This full-time position is an integral part of the Service Team and reports directly to the Sales Enablement Manager MEAT & CIS. While the base location is Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the role involves working remotely to provide coverage across the entire MEAT & CIS region.
