About the Role
Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Head of Sales Development, E-Commerce to join its team in Jeddah. This is a full-time position focused on driving the sales strategy and commercial growth within the online grocery division. The role involves expanding market share and increasing online sales through effective sales tactics, promotions, and partnerships.
Role Purpose
The Head of Sales Development, E-Commerce leads the commercial strategy for e-commerce grocery operations. This includes ensuring business objectives are met while maximizing profitability and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. The position is central to the business development efforts within the online grocery sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention within the e-commerce grocery business.
- Lead commercial planning, including assortment and pricing strategies, e-catalogues, promotions, and sales forecasting to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and develop strategies for new market segments.
- Manage key vendor and supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing, exclusive deals, and promotional opportunities aligned with the e-commerce grocery strategy.
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, ensuring all targets and KPIs for revenue, customer acquisition, and retention are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with category managers and product teams to optimize the product mix, ensuring a relevant assortment that meets customer needs and enhances sales.
- Work with marketing and UX/UI teams to enhance the online shopping experience, focusing on improving conversion rates, increasing basket size, and driving repeat purchases.
- Partner with operations, logistics, marketing, and IT teams to integrate sales activities seamlessly with overall business operations, improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of promotional campaigns to drive traffic, increase conversions, and boost average order value (AOV).
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sales development and commercial roles, preferably within the e-commerce grocery sector.
Team Leadership and Commercial Income
This position involves building, leading, and developing a high-performing sales and commercial team. A key aspect of the role is fostering a culture focused on generating income from suppliers for the e-commerce division.
