About the Product Specialist Oncology Role
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Product Specialist Oncology to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, commission-based role is integral to our mission of advancing healthcare innovation, particularly in the oncology therapeutic area. The successful candidate will contribute to our efforts in developing treatments and finding cures, profoundly impacting health for humanity.
Role Purpose and Key Objectives
The Product Specialist Oncology represents Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine to healthcare professionals, ensuring products are utilized based on their clinical indications and merit, while adhering to all J&J Credo obligations. This role focuses on promoting registered products within their approved indications to enhance patient access by effectively communicating product value.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maximize patient share for assigned products by understanding patient pathways and ensuring sales processes comply with J&J standards, quality guidelines, and local laws.
- Engage with healthcare professionals through a multichannel approach, including face-to-face meetings, emails, phone calls, and presentations, providing quality feedback for each interaction.
- Achieve market share targets for the designated territory.
- Promote Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's image as a scientific and digital innovator within assigned accounts and organize promotional and scientific meetings.
- Conduct full account mapping to understand logistical processes, product listing, contracting, key stakeholders, and decision-making within accounts.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders, including Directors of Pharmacy, Senior Procurement Managers, Tender Managers, and Hospital Management.
- Identify short-term and long-term business opportunities in collaboration with the Market Access team, aligned with the Business Unit strategy.
- Ensure Customer Interaction Excellence (CIE) by fulfilling all index and KPIs, including database updates, accurate reporting of HCP visits, correct sample handling, and continuous qualitative performance improvement.
- Maintain updated knowledge of disease areas, products, and competitors through scientific quizzes and attendance at assigned training courses, applying learnings to technical and ethical business practices.
- Organize assigned activities in compliance with all rules and utilize the correct CRM system as stipulated in related Standard Operating Procedures.
Compliance and Professional Standards
The role requires strict adherence to all set guidelines, policies, and SOPs of Johnson & Johnson, as well as local regulations. This includes compliance with local laws, Healthcare Business Integrity (HCBI) guidelines, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the Policy of Business Conduct, and other company policies. Responsibilities also extend to pharmacovigilance rules, notifying adverse events and product quality complaints, and upholding quality and compliance practices. The Product Specialist must also comply with global fleet safety standards and local traffic laws.
Candidates are expected to embody the Johnson & Johnson Credo and leadership imperatives, demonstrating a high sense of urgency, analytical skills, and disciplined execution in pursuing business opportunities. Collaborative behavior and a competitive drive to position products as leaders, while strictly adhering to compliance rules, are essential. All information affecting business results or the company's image, including any misconduct, must be reported to management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Experience within the Oncology therapeutic area is preferred.
- Skills: Digital knowledge is considered an advantage.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
