Quality and Patient Safety Specialist

About the Role

Al Salama Hospital is seeking a Quality and Patient Safety Specialist to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on monitoring and enhancing the quality of care and patient safety across the hospital. The specialist will be instrumental in driving improvement initiatives, supporting risk management, and ensuring accreditation readiness.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to a strong culture of safety within Al Salama Hospital. The specialist will implement and oversee quality improvement processes, manage incident reporting, and ensure compliance with established standards to maintain high levels of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor quality indicators, and lead various improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Manage incident reporting systems and ensure timely follow-up on reported incidents.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and support survey readiness activities.
• Train staff on quality and safety protocols, and lead safety huddles and awareness campaigns.
• Analyze relevant data and prepare comprehensive reports for committees and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in quality and patient safety roles, preferably within a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement methodologies and accreditation standards.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report preparation.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based at Al Salama Hospital in Jeddah, Makkah. The role involves working collaboratively with various hospital departments to implement and maintain quality and patient safety standards.
