About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar - Dermatology to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position is for a physician in advanced specialty training who will provide comprehensive dermatological care through both in-person and telemedicine platforms. The role involves managing various skin conditions, supporting clinical governance, and contributing to high-quality, patient-centered dermatology services under consultant supervision. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual dermatology consultations for adult and pediatric patients.
• Diagnose and manage common and complex dermatological conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, infections, and hair and nail disorders.
• Manage dermatological emergencies and red flag conditions, escalating as necessary.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans, incorporating topical and systemic therapies.
• Ensure safe prescribing and monitoring of dermatological medications.
• Document consultations accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Coordinate follow-up care and referrals when required.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Adhere to dermatology clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and telehealth regulations.
• Ensure patient safety in all clinical interactions, including medication counseling and adverse effect monitoring.
• Report patient safety incidents and near misses to the Quality department.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and guideline updates.

Professional Development and Collaboration

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in general dermatology through continuous medical education (CME), workshops, and conferences.
• Participate in case discussions and academic activities.
• Support the teaching and supervision of junior doctors when required.
• Collaborate with consultants, primary care physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and coordinate care for patients with systemic or complex dermatologic conditions.

Telehealth and Patient Experience

• Utilize teledermatology platforms for video, image-based, and synchronous consultations.
• Ensure high-quality dermatologic assessments using clinical images and patient-reported data.
• Maintain accurate, secure digital records in compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Communicate diagnoses and management plans clearly and empathetically to patients.
• Provide counseling on disease course, treatment expectations, and skin care.
• Address patient concerns and feedback promptly, promoting adherence to treatment plans and follow-up schedules.

Qualifications and Experience

• Physician in advanced specialty training.
• 2-5 years of experience in dermatology.
• Proficiency in utilizing teledermatology platforms.
• Strong understanding of dermatology clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and telehealth regulations.
