Senior Associate Infrastructure and Jirah

About the Role

The Islamic Development Bank is seeking a Senior Associate for Infrastructure and Jira to join their team in Jeddah. This contract role is responsible for the administration, configuration, governance, and ongoing support of the organization's Atlassian ecosystem, which includes Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, and related integrations. The incumbent will manage workflows, automation, permissions, system performance, and user support to ensure a stable, secure, and effectively governed platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated administration and ongoing support for the Atlassian platform, including Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, and related integrations.
• Manage platform configurations, workflows, automation, permissions, and other administrative requirements.
• Ensure appropriate governance and controlled administration of the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Maintain platform stability, security, performance, and effective ongoing operation.
• Offer user support and address platform-related queries and operational requirements.
• Provide user training and guidance to facilitate effective utilization of the platform.
• Support the successful implementation, rollout, and operationalization of the Atlassian platform.
• Manage and enhance workflows, automation, and configurations based on evolving operational needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform utilization and effectiveness.
• Strengthen internal capability to support the long-term sustainability of the platform and reduce dependency on external consultants.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field or a relevant professional certification is required.
• At least one (1) year of experience in IT systems and platform administration.
• Practical experience in the administration and configuration of Atlassian solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management, Jira Software, and Confluence, including workflows, automation, permissions, and platform configurations.
• Experience in supporting the implementation, operationalization, and continuous improvement of technology platforms.
• Experience in providing user support and training to promote effective platform adoption and utilization.
• Good understanding of platform governance, security, stability, performance, and sustainable administration.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, focusing on maintaining and enhancing critical IT infrastructure within a professional organizational setting.
