Job Objective:

Provide comprehensive support to the dentist during therapeutic and surgical procedures, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment, while providing care and comfort to patients throughout their stay in the clinic.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Clinic and Patient Care and Preparation:

• Receive patients warmly, verify their personal data and medical records before the examination.
• Prepare and sterilize the clinic completely before and after each patient in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
• Prepare the patient psychologically and physically for the medical procedure, and explain simple steps to reduce anxiety and stress.

2. Assisting the Dentist (4-Handed Dentistry):

• Stand by the dentist and hand them the necessary medical instruments and materials in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate and use suction devices, lighting devices, and intraoral cameras during procedures.
• Prepare dental filling materials, impressions, and temporary and adhesive materials according to the dentist's instructions.

3. Infection Control and Sterilization:

• Collect used instruments, transfer them to the central sterilization department, and sterilize them using approved methods (autoclave).
• Clean and disinfect the dental chair, surfaces, and dental units after each patient.
• Safely dispose of hazardous medical waste (such as needles and contaminated materials) in accordance with health regulations.

4. Administrative Affairs and Inventory Management:

• Monitor the levels of medical supplies and instruments in the clinic and submit purchase requests when needed to ensure they are not depleted.
• Assist in booking appointments and organizing the patient entry schedule if necessary.
• Document medical notes and performed procedures in the clinic's electronic system or paper files under the supervision of the dentist.

Requirements and Skills:

• Education: Obtain a diploma or bachelor's degree in nursing (accredited).
• License: Possess a valid license to practice the profession from the relevant health authority (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties).
